(AGI) Shanghai, Apr 20 – Mechatronics and industrial solutions are presented by the Bonfiglioli Group at Shaghai's 4th International Technology Fair, which opens on Thursday, April 21. Paolo Bazzoni, member of Bonfiglioli's board and legal representative in China, said this will be a major opportunity for the entire Italian industrial system and for individual firms. Bonfiglioli, an Italian firm founded 60 years ago, produces innovative solutions for the control and transmission of power in factories, automatic machinery and renewable energy. Bonfiglioli has been operating in China since 2004, and last year opened a new plant in the Qing Pu area, near Shanghai. "We started a localisation process in 2013 in China, and are growing with a strategy to enter the Chinese market with a portfolio of localised products. This gives us an advantage in terms of competitiveness, costs and services to the client," said Mr Bazzoni. In China, Bonfiglioli has two business units.

"Mobile & wind" produces gearboxes for heavy equipment, for clients such as Zoomlion and Caterpillar, and wind turbines for yawl and pitch solutions. The other is "industrial", working in the field of mechatronics and power generation for different industrial settings. "We have been glad to take part in this fair. We usually participate in theme fairs relevant to our production, but this event is extremely important to provide visibility to Italy and its technological excellence. There are many excellent firms and we are one of them. This is the spirit which has led us to accept." The fair will also be an opportunity to show Chinese clients and partners the solutions of Italian technology in the Shanghai area. "We will definitely pursue interesting contacts, especially in the Shanghai area with some municipal agencies which are investing in complex projects in the industrial and energy sectors. We operate in the traditional industrial sector as well as in energy and renewables." (AGI).
